Hi everyone - over the last few weeks Mia has been unwell. Last week we were sent to Newcastle RVI for further tests as a mass was found during preliminary examinations in her abdomen. We've now had those tests and Mia has what they've described as a Wilms tumour (kidney Cancer). The outcomes are positive and we're certainly in that mindset. We've received literally 100s of messages of support that we are extremely grateful for. Mia is a little fighter and with everyone's support we'll get through this together. We expect treatment to begin soon with an operation in 4 wks, with further treatment after that. We/They expect Mia to make a full recovery and to be doing the funky chicken when she's 90! All the suppprt is very welcome and please say a small prayer for Mia 🙏🏻Thank You - Krista & Gareth
Sending you and Mia very big hugs. It must be a relief to have a diagnosis. Hope you have a good Xmas and chill out after and befre what must have been, might be a difficult time. Hugs
Gareth and family, all my thoughts are with you and what a great and positive attitude you have. You've got this in the bag, just believe.
I know someone who's little girl (at about 2 or 3) had that exact tumour and she'll now be around 20 and is well now. All the best wishes for a speedy recovery to your little girl Gareth. I'm sure we will all keep thinking of you and your family - positive thoughts winging to you all.
Massive love guys, look at that beautiful face- what a super ⭐. We're just up the road if you guys need anything. Please ask, we mean it! Gareth and Krista my thoughts and prayers are with you both at this very stressful time. Mia is an adorable happy little girl, and she will get through this with both your love and support. 💕💖
xx
